Making votive candle favors are simple and can really dress up any occasion.  You can purchase votive candles scented or unscented.  They can be purchased at your local dollar store or Walmart.  The candles I purchased in this photo are 4 ¾” around and are 2” tall.   When you purchase the candles, the biggest tip I can give you is to make sure they do not taper, but stay the same size around all the way to the bottom (much easier for making labels).  I personally think the votives that have scalloped tops are especially nice.  The tulle can also be purchased at Walmart.  The easiest thing to do is buy the pre-cut 9” Tulle Favor Circles.  The only other thing you need is ribbon in whatever color you want to use.  Two coordinating ribbons are really pretty.

The following are some I made for a bridal shower last summer.  The instructions are simple.  Make your label.  I have attached a cwr file for your convenience.  You will need to add your own graphic if you want one just to the left of the print.  Wrap it completely around the candle and seal with glue stick or tape (the same as you would a candy wrapper).  Sit the candle in the middle of the 9” tulle circle, gather tulle to the top and tie off with ribbon.  Congratulations – your finished!
