Follow your heart... Work from home

Lori Redfield

There are so many ways that women can make a living while
staying home with their children. The number one rule of thumb
of course is -- Do what you LOVE! If you love what you do, not
only will you be good at it, but your enthusiasm will be
'catchy' and you will undoubtedly be successful.

Women are often surprised to find out how many supporters they
have out there in the world. People truly resonate with the
ideal of children having their Mothers home with them - and I
have found that they often times are more than willing to
compromise and work with you to make it possible.

We will be adding links and articles to this page to inspire
you and give you ideas - but the most important message I want
to give you is to look in your heart. What do you WANT to do?
What are you GOOD at? OR - What do you know you COULD be
good at if given the chance? That is where you will find your
genuine niche and your genuine happiness.

If you have an educational background - don't be afraid to
branch out on your own and use it. One close friend of mine
makes well over $100,000 a year running a Public Relations
business out of her home office. She is a confident, loving and
courageous women who dared to step forward and live her dream.
Her husband has told me that you wouldn't be able to get Amy
to stop what she is doing, it IS what she adores. Meanwhile,
both she and her daughter benefit from the closeness of her
BEING THERE.

We can substitute Mom - but there is no replacement for Mom.
You love your children more than anyone is capable of doing.

If you have computer skills, there are all sorts of 'jobs'
you can do from home. More and more companies are launching
websites these days -- many business are strictly web based and
have no brick-and-mortar establishment. So who do they hire to
work for them? Virtual Assistants (VA's)! We will be giving
you a lot of information on pursuing becoming a VA in different
articles on the site. But briefly, a VA executes the same types
of functions that an administrative assistant executes - only
from her home office.

Are you creative? Artistic? Do you have a flair for Marketing?
Could you open a Home Day Care or a local Errand Business? Can
you offer massage therapy? How about a Kennel?

What I am trying to touch on here is that there really is no
end to what you can come up with to do from your home. You
simply have to embrace your desires and your dreams - do some
planning and implement!

Craft Tip:

Wow, I found this really neat site that has all kinds
of quick tips on various things
http://www.craftsman.tv/tip.htm

Recipe:

Cute Halloween Recipes

~~~~~~~~~~~
Weight Loss Tip:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Determine what result you want, and stay focused.
That extra cake, is not what you want to look like in
the long run. So, stop and then think, do I really
want that cake? And if you can't resist, then share the
piece with someone, rather than eat the whole thing
by yourself.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Safety Tip:
Scrub anything you use after cutting raw meat.
Ecoli is one nasty bug to catch. A wooden board
is really not very safe. It is better to get a cutting
board that you can scrub really clean with lots of hot
water and soap. Or better yet, throw it in the dishwasher.
I have two cutting boards for when I cook. One for the
meat and the other for all the rest of the things I cut up.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Parent Tip:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
It generally takes three days from time of contact to
a cold for a child to come down with one. When you know
your child has been exposed, get them more vitamin c.
It really helps. Children need to take daily vitamins.
There is just no way to get all their vitamins in food these
days that they need.
Is it a cold or allergy? Colds general have dark mucous,
while allergies or irritation are clear. (things like teething
usually have just clear mucous color.)
Did you hug your child today? It's so very important.
Household Tip:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Boy, I need a housekeeper. I've been working way too
much overtime at my own home business. I had a
housekeeper last year to come in once a week. And,
it may be that time again!
Anyway, because housework is something that is done
over and over again, and it seems that there is no end
to it.

A good tip is to "see it, and pick it up right away."
Don't step over things that are in the way.
Things like a piece of paper, or that wrapper you thought
was going to make it to the trash can when you did your
fancy basket ball throw and missed :) Pick it up.
When in the bathroom doing your hair, take some toilet
tissue and wipe the hair up. Using tissue paper really
helps pick up hair in the bathroom.

Car Tip -

Don't wipe the window with your bare hands so you
can see. It leaves dangerous streaks. Keep some
paper towels in your car. Leather gloves are safe to
wipe with, too.

Marriage Tip?

Put an "I love you" note in your spouse's lunch box
or his/her coat pocket :)

Today's Joke
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The teacher put two baskets of treats on her desk,
a basket of apples and a basket of cookies.
She told the students to each take only one treat.
Next to the basket of apples was a sign:
Take only one, God is watching.
As one little boy reached over to take a cookie,
the boy next to him said, "Take all you want,
God's watching the apples!"
This is important!
If you really want to work from home, the best two volume
ebook set has had the price reduced from 97.00 to 37.00.
You can do it too! 61 people tell you what they would do
if they only had thirty days on the Internet to bring in money.
Read about it here.
These are all people who work from home. It's not meant to
be hype. It can be done. And is being done by people just
like you.
1,162 pages to read and learn. I've never seen anything
comparable and it was why I bought the rights when ten
people were offered reseller licenses to the two books.
"Flatter me, and I may not believe you. Criticize me, and I may
not like you. Ignore me, and I may not forgive you. Encourage
