It's Garage Sale Planning Time!

I don't know if you have had a garage sale before or
not. They can be a whole lot of fun.  With the proper
planning they can bring you some spare cash, too.

You can go to them and find the most interesting things
that someone has had no use for, and you can create
a product from what you find, and you can also have
you own garage sale.  Even men can be turned into
Garage Sale Fanatics.

It amazes me at what can be found at garage sales that
can be turned into a fun project that can be kept or
be sold for cash.  An old chair can be sanded, painted,
a hole cut in the middle of the seat and a potted plant
can be put in.   An old stool can be tissued over and
then covered with verathan and create an interesting
item.  Boxes can be created into very useful and
colorful creations.  A little sanding, a little paint,
a little bit of loving hands, and a creation can be born.

Even an old bed board can be turned into a bench
by a person who loves to work with wood.
Scraps of brand new material, buttons, zippers, jars,
hangers, crates, vases, bookshelves, antiques can
all be discovered at a great garage sale.

You will find children's clothes at bargain prices. Who
cares if they have been used before?  You buy them new,
stick them into the washer, and what do ya have?
USED.. Except you have spent $15.00 when you could
have gotten something just as good for a $1.00.

The thing about garage sales is learning how to make
money with what you don't have any use for anymore,
and turning it into a very enjoyable weekend meeting
people and making you money.

You can even do a community garage sale for fund
raising.  It's been this motto for a long time:
"One Man's Junk is Another Man's Treasure."

For more on how to make money, and advertise
your garage sale, send for this autoresponder to
learn more, it doesn't cost anything; just click and your
email program will open, and hit send.  You will have
more information in seconds!  (It is just too long
for this mailing so, I am cutting it short)

Craft Tip:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a cute site that has some crafty people's
confessions on the dumb mistakes they
have made. It's fun.
Weight Loss Tip:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Never go hungry. Keep your body fueled.
Starvation gets your body signals all messed up
and what happens is very simple. You don't feed
it, it gets scared and starts slowing down.
Then when you do feed it, it remembers being
starved so it stores faster and more readily.

Safety Tip:

If you suspect you are being watched through a two
mirror. Here's the test:

Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective
surface and if there is a gap between your
fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a
real ONE WAY mirror. However, if your fingernail
directly touches the image of your nail, then
OH OH -  for it is a two-way mirror!

Parent Tip:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
A new baby coming home to the house, and you
have siblings for the baby.  Teach friends and
relatives to ask the older children to show them
the new baby.  There is no need to stampede
past the current children to get to see the baby.
Baby won't know. Siblings do.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Household Tip:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
To help smells in the home such as
a freshly cooked fish dinner, put a half a cup
of vinegar out on your counter, or on top of
your stove. It will help clear the air.
~~~
If a light bulb breaks off in the socket, cut
a potato in half, press it onto the broken
glass and twist. Be careful.

Car Tip

When you are thinking about purchasing a used
car, check the wear and tear on the brake and
clutch pedal; it's a good way to know if the miles
have been set back.

Tasteful Joke - Diet Tip?
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chocolate
Now you don't have to feel guilty about eating it. This is
fabulous for all you chocolate lovers! Have a great day!
Chocolate is a Vegetable: Chocolate is derived from
cocoa beans.
Bean = vegetable.
Sugar is derived from either sugar CANE or sugar
BEETS.
Both are plants, which places them in the vegetable
category.
Thus, chocolate is a vegetable. To go one step
further, chocolate candy bars also contain milk,
which is dairy. So candy bars are a health food.
Chocolate-covered raisins, cherries, orange slices
and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you
want.
If you've got melted chocolate all over your hands, you're
eating it too slowly.
The problem : How to get 2 pounds of chocolate home
from the store in a hot car. The solution: Eat it in the
parking lot.
Diet tip: Eat a chocolate bar before each meal. It'll take
the edge off your appetite, and you'll eat less.
If I eat equal amounts of dark chocolate and white
chocolate, is that a balanced diet? Don't they actually
counteract each other?
Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make
you look younger.
Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do
today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.
A nice box of chocolates can provide your total daily intake
of calories in one place. Now, isn't that handy?
If not for chocolate, there would be no need for control
top pantyhose. An entire garment industry would be
devastated. You can't let that happen, can you?
REMEMBER: "Stressed" spelled backward is "desserts"
Send this to four women and you will lose two pounds. Send
this to all the women you know (or ever knew), and you
will lose 10 pounds. If you delete this message, you will
gain 10 pounds immediately.
That's why I had to pass this on --
I didn't want to risk it.
