Supplier for candy boxes
« on: August 30, 2005, 09:25:45 PM »
Many of you have wondered how to package your candy. This place has the 6x6x4 white or kraft boxes, perfect for standard bars, and the larger one I think 7 1/4 (not sure). Which, when you lay 2 Hershey bars flat side by side is 6x6 square and stacking them to about a 4 in height gives you enough for 50-60 bars. I just ordered them: $20 for 100 boxes. I already have smaller ones, but those needing those for the miniatures, check out those.

I would suggest laying out what you think you need for packing and go from there. I use the 5 1/2 x 4 x 2 3/4 for miniatures and my mini kats. Or another one I use is 8 x 4 x 4 for larger amounts.

And they have the clear basket bags 22x28 for the candy cakes. I think this would be the right size. You take the diameter and multiply twice.

And they have the crinkle paper filler in gazillion colors, $2.45 for an 8 oz bag, cheaper than the 2 oz for a $1 at the dollar stores.

Anyway, just wanted to pass this along, and check out their closeouts. You have to sign up first, username & password for a new customer, then just order. Or get the catalog free. Hope this helped. Here's the link...Nashville Wraps

I'm preparing here...for my winter sales. That was the only box, the 6x6x4 that I didn't have. I always had trouble fitting the standards...now I found it and it should make for a nicer presentation/delivery box.

The styro's and the candy cake bags and I also got bags for my soup bowl packs. I'm gettin' ready...if all else, I'll just re-sell them in the WC Auction, LOL!

Recycle idea for these candy boxes because they are collapsible...save the cardboard that you get from the foil you purchase or the cardboard from your paper packs (cut to size) if any. Place one on the bottom for more support.

I just this morning received my shipment. If you are looking for a box for your standards, this is it. The 6x6x4 is perfect. Glad I ordered. It's a white bakery/type box. $20 bucks for 100. Not a bad deal at all.

But, to make it worth your while on shipping, add other items that they have...your basket bags, candy cake bags, filler, etc.

Lee,

What size did you order for the soup bowl packs? I have been trying to find the right size for mine.

Thanks

I ordered the Basket Bags, Small Clear BB-300 Size 13x17.5x4 and they're a bit too large. Not bad, I can use for other products, but will go back and see about a smaller one. Only ordered the small 25/pack to try. But, it depends on what type of bowl you are using. Mine is 6 in diameter and they suggest doubling it. I need more like 9x12x4 ??? It won't be wasted though.

I think this one may work for the candy cake, a smaller version, as it's got a pocket on the bottom. Regardless, it's better to have a little selection at home than scrambling around the stores looking...

Just found it, 8x3x15 (stock #PB141). The 3 is the pleated bottom. And...this will fit the quart cans. Dual purpose. They only come in 1000 pack, but I think this can serve a couple uses. The bowl I'm using is from Joanne's Fabrics.

Awhile back there were templates going around for the soup bowl pack. I kinda re-did the whole thing into a template for the Campbell's soup, the Hershey bar, and tea bags. I intend on putting in these bowls I purchased with paper filler and the clear bags. All different themes is possible. Happy Birthday, Retirement, Get Well, etc.

Received my second shipment to day from Nashville Wraps. I ordered the PB-141 clear bags, 8x3x15 and they also are perfect...for my soup bowl kits and the quart cans. Just enough room to put ribbon curls on without having to cut off waste.

I may end up selling the 1-500 box, as 1000 will last me for eternity. I'll let you know, if anyone's interested or I may keep them. Not sure right now what other uses I can get with that size bag.
