Can anyone advise me on this, if I buy cricut cartridges in the USA can I use them on my machine in the UK? It may seem a silly question but I don't know if the voltage makes a difference?

It will be Max, I haven't bought it yet, I've been trying to justify the price as they are a lot more expensive here and essentially it's going to be a toy for me to play with so I've been thinking about it for a long time. I'm coming to New York next month and thought it would be ideal to get any cartridges I want for half the price, hence the query.

Right if you can get them cheaper over here get as many as you can afford,lol..mine is a toy as well..but I can turn it into a cash maker..oh so many ideas..just need to take the time.

Thanks Max, any tips by the way? Are there any particular cartridges that are really useful or should I get extras like mats?

You are talking to someone that has over 100 cart's..so of course i feel they are all useful,lol. I really like Doodlecharms has lots of cute things on it and for most seasons. I love boxes so just about every cart that i own has some type of box on it, especially now im loving Tags bags boxes and more 2, lots of cute boxes on it. Your machine will come with at least one cart if not more, mine came with 3, so you will have something to get started. Yes get a couple extra packs of mats then its pretty easy to restick them once they are no longer as sticky. And the tools, the cricut spatula will save you lots of headaches trying to get the cuts off the mat.

Thanks again, I will put those on my list, my case is going to be full of craft stuff when I come home! I can't wait to go in Michaels as well because we have nothing like that here and I'm already looking at their site to see if I can work out what I want.I've also got a list of craft shops to hunt out. Sad isn't it, most people want to see the Empire State building or the Statue of Liberty!

LOL, i guess, as many times as i've been to NY i've never gone to the Statue of Liberty, I have been across the street or next to the Empire State building a few times.

Sure glad you guys are having this conversation - I had no idea there was a Tags bags boxes and more 2. I searched on it and it's a treasure trove (and of course sold out)! Thanks for the info!

Sold out on which site? It's a bunch on Ebay, and just went onsale on cricutmachine.com. I love this cart, working on alittle project now that i cut the playing card box..will show pictures later.
