I'm with you! There's nothing like standing outside of Target freezing your butt off at 4 AM! My mom and I go every year..maybe this year I'll have to make special grab n go's to take along

Wow, I love that day too.  I'm sure everyone knows about www.theblackfriday.com where you can see the ads ahead of time.  Didn't check today but so far none of the good stores has posted theirs.  It's a great site to watch. 

Since I live in Florida and lately its so hot, won't need the grab n go cups.  Will need soda or water wrapped.

I used to that, get up early and get to the stores..now i mostly shop online, actually id be done right now if my oldest would send her wish list,lol.

Shopping online takes all the fun out of it for me.  Not going to do a lot of shopping this year.  Things are tight.  Have 3 girls though so I know they will get. Oldest turns 16 five days before Christmas.

I guess if i had young kids shopping in the store would be more fun, but i have adults so not like im buying toys or such things,lol.  I have been shopping in the stores as well, so not totally shopping online but its the same stuff and you have better choices online because stores have limited space, plus im getting old im starting to hate crowds,lol.  Well in the stores kinda crowd, now i'll go to a 3,000 people concert in  a heartbeat, lol.

The only time I like to shop in a store is in the middle of the night, when there's no one else around except for the people stocking! Hate the traffic, parking hassles, rude shoppers, etc. I so love being able to shop on line, stay where it's warm, don't have to worry about using gas, and if I'm buying from out of state, I even save on sales tax!

I am with Chris...I used to LOVE shopping BF, but I have been scratched, shoved, pushed and had blood drawn from someone grabbing an item out of my hand.

If I need it that bad...I will buy at regular price...not worth getting disease from someone else!

Most of the time the 3 items they have are picked over already....and standing in line that is a mile long is ***....

I won't do it anymore..I am like Maxluv...too old!  Besides I buy all year long and put my tree up that day instead...then wrap everything, and I am done...devote the rest of the time making cookies etc!

Our Walmart is open 24/7 so when I get there at 3-4am, atleast I dont have to stand outside in the cold.  I probably would not do it if I did.  They have all of the doorbusters roped off, so you just find what you want and get in a line.  I have had nothing but good experiences.  I visit with other people in line and usually we end up helping each other out.  Then it is over to Target....now there I do have to stand in line outside but by the time I finish at Walmart, I only have to wait about 10-15 minutes for Target to open.  After that...its Panara for begals and home!  My kids are too old for toys, so I am usually after electronics.  I buy some online too but still enjoy the thrill of BF morning.

Iactually think we are skipping this year, We have always went shopping on black friday even when I was Huge Preggo, BUT now that we have added #5, I think we will skip it, Unless there is a really good deal. Anyways all we have here in town is a walmart. Your In KAnsas too arent you?

I'm so excited! I live in Canada, but we are visitng my husband's family in Seattle and will be "experiencing" BF. It almost makes flying worthwhile...almost...LOL

I used to love it, was a family tradition until 2 yrs ago -getting too old and cranky.  Money is real tight, but since we are leaving Dallas and going to Louisiana, we just might brave it one last time, just for the fun of it if Fry's has a good one.  I miss the excitement, but the crowds have gotten way out of control in some places.
