Idea for pot fillers
« on: March 01, 2012, 06:39:20 AM »
I was at a Think Spring do hikkee.  And they put the expanding foam in their pots.  They made different things to give away. some had flower seeds, some had a small tree branch with chick shape with the seed fabric (where you just plant it and the plant growms).  One lady even made a rose out of seed packets very awesome.  I wish I would have won one of those so I could have seen how she made the rose.  But instead of using the foam block.  They used the spray expanding foam.  They said it was cheaper.  They than put some fake grass on top with bows.  I took some pictures with my phone I will see if I can get them on the computer and send them.

Now I have some ideas for craft shows.  I am going to buy some seeds and see if I can get some made before my next show in a couple of weeks.  Like I really need another thing to add to my list. LOL

It come in a can.  Tried it this week-end, we used a 6.3" flower pots, Hubby filled them about 1/3 full with the foam  we did 6 pots with one can of foam.  I will make one up and take a pictures as I do the project.  But it was much cheaper than buying foam to put in them.

can you get the foam out afterwards?  and do you find it in the craft store and if so what section?

Here is the product sheet on this.

I am going to use this for making some seed bouquets with seed packets.  I will contact the company to see if you could use this for candy bouquets.  I do not know how hard it would be to take the foam out never have tried it.
