getting into schools

Ok so I'm trying to figure out how to get into the area schools for candy bars, special events and such but how do I do that?

I was thinking about offering the custom wrapped bars for fundraisers but how do I do that??? what do I charge??? I currently get $2.50 for soe's

I was thinking of doing something for the school office for back to school was thinking soe with school name, sports team info (eh eh - not sure) but I really only want to do things I think they will order for school or personal events.

Probably depends on the area one is in..like here most fund raiser's are done by the PTA, so you might try contacting them.  As for what to charge, would depend on how much you want to let the school have for there fundraiser and how much you plan on getting back.

Contact the secretary at your local schools and then ask for the home school president's name and number.

At my son's elementary school a lot goes thru the PTA for fund raising and events, they then take ideas  to the principal to get approved and sometimes things need to approved by the district depending on the fund raiser.  I would try to get a hold of the PTA president or the PTA person in charge of fund raising/events and give them your brochure.  It wasn't a fund raiser but I was asked to do candy bars by the PTA for the 5th graders graduating from the school.  Each student was presented with a certificate, a reading book and a candy bar with their name on it by the principal at the 5th grade Celebration assembly on the last day of school.  Needless to say I was asked to do candy bars again for next year's 5th graders:)

Melva - thanks for the information I have a connection at my daughters last school as I was the PTA so I'm close to the principal at that school and I'll start there. when my daughter was there I did personalized candy bars for the 8th grade graduation after party but this year they didn't have an party after graduation so I will try to do christmas baskets (small ones $5 each) and custom soe for a kids holiday fair (depending on what the PTA is doing for the holiday)
