Author Topic: OK, I'm ready to make the post it ~ ???? (Read 220 times)

OK, I have my post it note holder designed, and now I want to make it. But, I have a couple questions.

Do you just print it on card stock and laminate it?

My card stock is 110 weight, is that heavy enough?

If you laminate it, what kind of adhesive do you stick the post it note pad to the holder with?

I elongated mine, because the picture wasn't going to look right if I didn't. Do you think that will look ok? Have any of you ever done that?

I am actually making some headway on this today!!! This has got to be the most time consuming wedding mdse. I will ever make. (hopefully anyway) Good thing she is a friend, or she wouldn't be able to afford me. Hopefully, I will get better and faster as time goes on. :)

Nancy 110lb will be fine. I have only made these up once but I did laminate it then I used my glue gun to glue the packet of post it to the card. It worked fine to me. I don't think the size will matter as long as you make sure your post its fits. Hope this help ya. Mary Ann

Thanks, Mary Ann. I'll try the glue gun. You didn't have any trouble with it, huh? Looks like it would just come off that slick laminated surface. ??????

Thank you. I will check that out.

I got the post it done, and it looks pretty good. I ended up using the mounting squares to hold the pad onto the holder. I was just afraid hot glue would "pop" off that slick surface. (has happened with other things before) Will post pics later.

I sell mine post it's for $1.25 each and I don't really package them at all unless it's part of a set.

It's not worth the extra money I would have to charge for the packaging for just the post it.
