Printers I know this has been discussed before but please help me out..

OK.. I need to buy a new printer.. I have had several printers  one Epson and 2 Brother I have not been happy with any of them. The problems I have encountered are
 1. The colors they print are not the matching true to what I have in my files.
 2. When I print say 25 sheets my printer starts to jam..
 3  Even thought it says it will it won't print card stock or glossy paper except one or two sheets at a time.
$500.00 to spend so I feel I can get a pretty good printer with that amount of money. I really really want to be happy with this one ...
Please Please.. tell me what you are using and if you are truly happy with the job it is doing...I really want to start promoting my business again but I have to be confident I can get the jobs done ...

I know how you feel Patti, I've been where you are in trying to find a printer that made me happy.  About a year ago I went to Staples and took some of the work I did with me and told them what I was looking for in a printer.  The guy showed me the HP Officejet Pro K5400.  It uses much less ink than a laser, but uses the different cartridges like a laser, and to me it prints just as good as a laser.  I have never been totally happy with a printer, until this one.  I have been very happy with it since I got it, and pray it works forever for me.

Hopefully others will chime in for you.

I have a Kodak Printer.  I does phot quality printing and the ink is $24 for blk & color.  (Yes 2 cartridges) I have not had a problem with it jamming.  When one side of the ink is gone you have to replace it for the printer to print again.  But the blk in is only $10 and the color is $15. Oh the printer is only $90.
