Small jars of hand cream ....

I was looking on line and I found these cute jars of hand cream that you can put personalized labels on --- however this site only sells them with the label! They would be great for baby showers and bridal showers! Now if I can only find where you could get these jars with the cream and blank lids so you could put your own label LOL

ANy ideas??? --- please don't tell me that you make the hand cream and assemble in your own jars or I will cry! LOL   :'( :'(

If you could find some cute jars I have a real simple recipe for some hand cream, that uses, baby lotion, vaseline and Vitamin E-cream, that is really good that I made and gave to my friends for Christmas last year they loved it.

Its hard to find someone selling them without the top/design label. They have to have the ingredient label on the product for liability purposes so depending on the design and size of the product that label is a must. Some provide you with a text file to add yourself, but again it can fall back on them if you don't. If you look at some of the handmade soap and lotion websites check to see if theyr'e wholesalers you might be able to find a couple that sell without the designed label but for me it was less expensive to buy a kit, its fairly easy but a little tedious.

I found the cutest jars at Ikea that I put my lotion in that I made, also walmart in the travel size section had some too.....

They have some small handcreams at my dollar store.  They are a little larger than the round lipgloss.

check out this site she has the recipe listed, this is not where I got it but I could not find the post on the forum it came from  so I found this one.

here is the one I used I found it: ( hope it's ok to post without the website)
Here's the recipe:
Denise's lotion
15 ounce vaseline
16 ounce vitamin e cream  
2 16 ounce baby lotion

Mix all this together with hand mixer in METAL bowl (it will look like thick cake frosting). Spoon into jars with a METAL spoon.

(Note: don't use anything plastic or your stuff may taste like lotion)
There were a lot of different recipes only different quantities, the products were bought at the General Dollar store, there pink baby lotion, the vitamin E cream is Frit of the Earth, it's really cheap to make. I bought some $1 candles in small jars like you use for canning burnt the candles and washed the jars, made labels and they look great some people found the small canning jars and used them,
I found the one I used its:
1 8oz jar of Vitamin E-Cream
2 15 or 16 oz baby lotion
1 8 oz jar of vaseline
mix the same as above.

I found the exact empty jars!  but now will have to make my own Cream!  LOL --- okay --- this is definitely something I will have to put on the back burner!  Retirement can't come soon enough!

I just retired a week ago today..aww its nice to have all these free times,lol..okay im bragging let me stop. That said, i read this thread and like normal it gets my wheels turning,lol..so anyway I found a site online, well ive ordered from them lots of time..but you can buy unscented lotion by the gallon, so yup i ordered a gallon and some jars from them, so now guess what people getting for Christmas, LOL..

If any of you have a mall that has a Sephora store (they are also online) - they give samples of their products in these little jars. I'm not sure if they sell them by themselves or not - but I would think they would.  Hope this helps someone.
