This is a silly question......

How in the world do you get an avitar to be the correct size?  It says it has to be 101x101 and 35000 bytes.  Is this something you do to a picture in PSP or Corel Draw or another program?  I am stumped.........  All my pics are way too large, even the little clip art ones I have.   Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
