wrap candy-microsoft word

why is it when I try to download a CWR it always comes up as microsoft word and it only has symbols and letters instead of the CWR?

When you click a cwr to download choose Save and save in a folder in Documents. It could be your default destination is Word. You want to change that...as cwr is only for Wrap Candy and the format it uses for the templates. After you save it, you would have your software open and click File/Open and go to this folder and select it to open. Hope this makes better sense...

For Graphics, you also click to save and save in another folder for all graphics and you Insert these into your template.

Some how the File Association to the ".cwr" extension has Word opening up instead of Wrapcandy program, you can go to My Computer and select the Tools options, then select Folder Options, then select File types, use the up and down arrows to find the "cwr" extension from the Register Files types list, select it, then right below the Register File types is a Details for 'CWR' extension box hit the Change button then slide down and find the Wrapcandy program and make sure the check box next to Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.  then click ok.

So the next time you double click on a ".cwr" file it will open up in the Wrapcandy program not Microsoft Word.
