First time I have seen one of these. You did a great job with it.

I like it Marie, is it an order? Surely looks homemade with lots of love. Maybe adding a few leaves or greenery of some kind will break the pink a bit.

I was thinking the same thing Stacey -- It needs some green leaves!  On the way to work this morning I was trying to figure out what it needed and the greenery is it!  Great minds think alike!

I did not have an order -- but thinking of taking it the Florist who has expressed an interest in my "creations."
I thought it would be perfect for a Florist ... I thought maybe some baby's breath or something else that would make it pop out ... and I definitely have to do something with that doll!  Either going to Toys R Us and buying a really nice "inexpensive" doll or putting a stuffed animal on it .. I can't wait to make one for a little boy -- I will have to bring one of each to the Florist.  Lots of money in this -- I did not use dollar store clothing.  I would say that there is at least $40 - $50 worth of items on this ... Next time thinking of adding a burp cloth on top and then working my way down to smaller items ...
I worked on this in my Mother's apartment and had her help me or offer advice as I was going along -- Needed to keep her awake ... LOL  She got a good work out!

I also thought using Q-tips was a good idea -- the cotton clings to the inside of the styrofoam so no glue is needed and it's perfect to attach the items ... just the right length.

I didn't need anything to weigh it down on the bottom in the pot -- I glued styrofoam into the pot and used a pretty thick dowel and glued that in -- I let that sit overnight.  then I put the styrofoam  ball on top and glued that in.
I also wrapped the dowel with some brown ribbon ...

I thought it was going to be more difficult to do -- probably the most time intensive is rolling the items so that they are pretty  even -- I had to fold each one so that they were at least one inch or so wide -- that was pretty tricky with the bibs and Onsie's  - but I used 0-3 month Onsie's and small bibs.  of course the socks and washclothes were not problem at all ...

Marie, I love it, I was also thinking that it need a little something else, how about using a shiny colored cello paper cut into squares and bunched up. ( hope you understand what I'm talking about.
I also like the idea of a stuffed animal on it. I wouldn't lower the dowel, in the gift basket business it is always better to make things taller, it gives the perception of getting more for the price. lol.
I really do like it and hope you don't mind if I try to make one.
