This is amazing, I can't believe I missed this one.
The only thing I'm confused at is the book the monthly RD that come out, (they aren't hard covered).
Also you can use this idea for many things Anniversary's, Wedding's, Birth's, Graduations, etc. so many things.

I believe she is using the old hard back Readers Digest books from the bookclub...not the monthly magizine .

really any hardback book would work for these......go to garage sales etc, you can often pick up old books very inexpensively ...also sometimes libraries will slim down their inventories and have sales or give-aways on old books.

another great idea for recycle...I go to several resale stores and they have lots of books very reasonable or dollar store is great too. Thanks for sharing this idea, another great project...

Wow!  I love this idea.  Thank you so much for sharing the instructions!  That really sounds easy.  I have several Reader's Digest Condesned Books (now called Select Editions), but I still need to finish reading them. LOL.  I like the idea of picking up hardcover books at garage sales or the dollar store. I see a lot of possibilities with this.  I'm looking forward to trying this, perhaps next week.
