Bought new computer/old wrapcandy CD will not install

Hi - I have the wrapcandy CD version 7.1 professional that I purchased a few years ago. I recently got a new laptop a Toshiba with windows 7.  I just tried to put the wrapcandy program on and it wouldn't work.  What should I do? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!  -- Sue

My new laptop is a Toshiba with Windows 7, and, I have it installed on mine.  But, I have 7.3 Pro, maybe you will need to upgrade.  It's worth it.  Good Luck.  (I'm not c r a z y  about my Toshiba, hope you will like yours) 

It's so funny that WC substitutes *** when you want to type the word c r a z y like it's a bad word or something.  LOL  But,if you put a space between the letters it prints.  Just a little hint for everyone.  LOL

As for the word...yes, Ryan has certain words on a blocked list...for a reason...

Use these steps Sue, to help you load the 7.1 Pro, see if they help you install:

Also, there is an additional setting of Never Notify Me or Don’t Remind Me, you need to checkmark it
Click Start (lower left corner) then select Control Panel
Make sure if not already, that you are Administrator
Click User Accounts And Family Safety
Then click User Accounts
Where it says Make changes to your user account, the last option is Turn User Account control On or Off - you want to turn it off – uncheck it
Restart your computer
Then continue with the Download or CD installation and make sure you install the netframe files. Don't forget to go back in and turn the User Account control back on again after download or CD installation is complete
You MUST be the admin of your computer or have Admin privileges to install Wrapcandy

Vista Elevation Error:
When it says elevation, it's because as a new computer owner, you have not given yourself permission as the administrator to install software or other action. This is a standard security feature in Windows Vista. 

For Windows Vista (64 bit)
Do the same as before (or above) BUT in the area where you change the user account control settings
*Hit turn off   There isn't any side bar in this box.  It is only in Windows 7
*Restart your computer and you should be ready to go.

GO TO (ONLY ON WINDOWS 7)
*Control Panel
*User accounts & Family Safety
*User Accounts
*(at the bottom) Change user account Control settings
*A box will appear or pop up that says
"choose when to be notified about changes to your computer"  Move the Sidebar tab that is to the left and slide it down to NEVER NOTIFY
*Hit OK  -  A box will appear asking to restart your computer
*Hit restart or yes now (don't restart later on)
