Title: Home Sweet Home
Tags: I've Moved!
Blog Entry: Two days ago, September 19, 2008, my husband and I made the move back to our hometown of Frederick, Oklahoma after residing in Sapulpa, a Tulsa suburb, for nearly fifteen years.  While Sapulpa is a really nice community, our desire to return to the place of our roots was much stronger.  We have made many friends there over the years and we will most definitely be staying in touch by telephone as well as through the internet.  For the entire time that we resided there buying a house just never felt right so we chose to rent an apartment instead. Last month my husband was laid off from his job of over 12 years and we both began to reminisce about the good old days back in Frederick.  Three days later we submitted our notice to the landlord and began making some phone calls to our families back home.  They were absolutely thrilled to hear from us and once we told them about the layoff they were practically begging us to come home!  As luck would have it, my aunt has a small 2 bedroom rent house which had just been vacated the week before!  My brother-in-law happens to know of several places where my husband should be able to find work.  (While we are certainly not on Easy Street, over the years we have saved up quite a little bit so we certainly aren't too worried right now.)  Well we set the date and vowed to take the leap: We were moving back to Frederick! On Thursday, we said our goodbyes to everyone, promising to stay in touch.  Yesterday morning, shortly after sunrise, we packed all our belongings into the pickup and somewhere around 9:30 A.M., we began our journey home.  By 2:45 P.M. we arrived in Frederick where our families as well as some old friends greeted us with hugs and smiles.  We all went out to dinner and then we were taken to our new home where our utilities as well as internet service were being turned on that day thanks to our families and good planning on our part.  Well I believe that it is time to bring this story to a close, go to sleep and get to know our new neighbors tomorrow.  While Sapulpa will always have a place in our hearts there truly is no place like Frederick, our home now and always.
