I can't believe that my little baby girl is about to turn 2 on Sunday! It seems like yesterday we were on our way to the hospital... Time has certainly flown by!
We're having her birthday party on Saturday. Nothing too big, just family and a few friends. I am doing the cooking, so I didn't want a whole house full like last year! Travis and I can't wait to give her her new kitchen. I think she's going to love it! We really went overboard on gifts this year, but since this will be her last year as the 'only child', we wanted to make it special for her.
Travis has to go away for business on Monday morning. He was originally supposed to go on Saturday or Sunday, but we nixed that one pretty quick. First of all, her party is on Saturday, secondly, her real birthday is Sunday along with the Superbowl. Not that I'm a football fan by any means, but the thought of him being by himself on Caitlin's birthday and the Superbowl was just not okay with me. So, he talked to his boss and all is good. He can leave on Monday. Caitlin and I will be staying with my parents, since I hate being without him. He's going to have to go back again sometime mid-February for 1 night, and Caitlin and I will go with him that time. We plan on going to see NYC quickly too. I know there's a lot to see, but I've always wanted to just 'see' it, no matter how quickly. I'll take what I can get! I'm actually kind of looking forward to it!
Other than that, not too much is new. We're still waiting to hear on the local job. I would be THRILLED if he got it, and it paid what it needs to. The only other snag is, we'd need the health insurance to kick in immediately because of the baby on the way. But, we'll see. I am praying that all goes well though. He would be less than 5 minutes away, rather than 50 minutes away. It would solve so many problems too, including not having to sell the house and move immediately! I could use all the prayers I can get!
Time for bed. I have to get the 3 hour glucose test done tomorrow morning since I failed the 1 hour one.
